Coyote Hills

Look at this place. It's Coyote Hills in Orange County California. It is scheduled for development, houses, roads, a school, a strip mall and what else. There are many sides to serving the needs of a few. While I was painting this when I heard the cry of the red tailed hawk and looked up to capture it just in time to put into my painting. I painted this from behind a fence with a sign that said private property.

Pat, I absolutely love these last drawings in your notebook -- especially the last two of Coyote Hills. Tragic to think of what's to come. Private property, indeed! Thanks for documenting this place so beautifully.

A beautiful sketch of what looks like a gorgeous location! At least you've had the opportunity to capture its unspoiled beauty.

WONDERFUL WONDERFUL PAINTINGS, PAT! And oh my can I understand your frustration! Makes me so angry with all this hurry to destroy the beauty we try so hard to preserve!! SIGH! And I"m thrilled at your paintings .. this and the painting yesterday -- beautifully painterly, soft and wonderfully toned ... love your work!

Beautiful sketch, Pat! That area looks like where my sister used to live many years ago.
