Winter in California

On my walks with Ivy I found these leaves that caught the light from the morning sun.  I could not help but pick them up and  take them home to paint and then place on my kitchen window shelf to enjoy while I am washing dishes.

Very nice leaves Pat. Are they from Aspen trees ?

These are like eye candy with their jewel tone colors!

I too have a collection of these treasures - they're kinda like Lays potato chips - bet you can't just pick one!

Beautiful leaves, I like painting them too :) I love the sketch of the lamp and it's very detailed base. Lovely. Definitely get to the beach as often as possible. I would :)

Lovely sketches, Pat! And you get to enjoy them even more by setting them on your window sill....

Beautiful the way you've achieved the shadow side on that left hand leaf, Pat, yet maintained the brilliance of the pure colour.

Charming, cosy image I have of your up to your elbows in dish suds but away with the beauty of your autumn leaves.
