Dana Point

Dana Point, California

This is the way I want to spend every day for the rest of my life. Painting at Dana Point. The weather has been in the 70's+ F/26C. Warm, clear and soothing to the jangled nerves left over from the Holidays. I am trying to go to the beach everyday till that cold weather they have been forecasting comes in.

Sounds an idyllic way to spend the rest of your life - I do envy you having the beach nearby, but you use it to full advantage with paintings like this - lovely!

I can certainly see appeal in living every day this way! Love the sketch. I also love you walks near the eucalyptus trees, and the park area and the beautiful homes you sketch as well. Hope those tattered nerve endings are on the mend.

As to the weather, enjoy it whilst you can, Pat, as our temps have yet to make it above the low 50's (for our highs) with low's in the 20s for over a week - and it's getting old!

What a pleasant thought and what a lovely painting! I think we all have places and dreams ike this -- plus the occasional surprising realization that it's actually happening...

Ain't it great when a plan comes together?

I really love this serene painting. The colors are so beautiful and it sure makes me want to visit the beach.

A wonderful painting of your idyll! I do hope you get to spend many days at the beach, painting, Pat.

I love this quick sketch you've done. You are so lucky to live in a semi-warm climate, AND near the beach! Well, I guess I live very close to the beach, too, if you count the Great Lakes. However, definitely not as warm!
