My life is a blur!

I spent the morning working in my garden and getting ready for the rain that is coming to California. We haven't had measurable rain for a long time. Most of the world that is experiencing winter right now seems to be reporting extremes and I guess this will be like that too because the forecast is for rain, "not like we have seen since 95". I can't remember 1995. Can you? As I get older days become weeks and months fly by and the years flash by, one unrecognizable from another. These glasses say it all. I started to draw them when I came in to cool off but found that at some point I had to go get glasses to see what I was doing. My life is a blur just like the years.

This made me chuckle because I drew/painted my new glasses a few days ago too. I sure need them now to see work up close! I've got one more image to post before I post my glasses, but stay tuned.

Hey... we're also waiting for the rain to arrive in Northern California (Bay Area) -- it was supposed to be a stormy weekend.

I can only remember a bit about '95 because my youngest was 4 years old, and I kind of remember a bit about that - now that they've all grown up, I hope keeping sketchbooks will help! As for vision, I'm sitting about 3 feet away from the screen with my glasses ON - have to put my contacts in as well to get any closer <:-/

Good heavens, I just realised 1995 is fifteen years ago! How can that be? Oops there goes another year ;)

Great drawing, Pat beautiful glint on the frames. Of course I had to get my glasses to examine it!

Time flies but we seize the day, don't we? . We know how to achieve the state of flow while drawing or painting. We are so lucky!. And after all this is what really matters! ;-)

I agree with Anna, Seize the day :) Since recently getting a pair of good glasses, I find I'm relying on them so much. I didn't actually think my eyes were that bad either! I thought this was a photo of glasses, it's excellent :)

I can't comprehend a region without rain. Actually, in Michigan, we count the sunny days because there are so many cloudy days due to "lake effect weather" off of the Great Lakes. Lots of wet snow, sometimes high winds, and of course, mayfly season in the summer (yuck!) since we're only a mile from Lake Erie. I'd rather have your sunny days rather than the rain!

Well, I got to commenting on this post late and everyone else has said most of what I was going to say! I like your drawing of your glasses, and your wry comments about...the passing of time!
