Watercolor on Yupo
It was supposed to rain today but I gave it a chance and even thought the clouds dance with the sun creating these wonderful shadows and bright spots of sun I was able to walk, paint and get home before the clouds opened.

Fascinating and magical painting. I think it's time to give Yupo another try. I played with it a bit when it was first introduced and haven't used it again since. I love your handling of lights and darks.
Many colors, so fun

Lovely painting!
it's a stunning painting! I love paintings of woods and undergrowth and I always find it sooo difficult to paint without making it too busy, but you manage oh so well to make it peaceful and relaxed! Well done!
(I mentioned you on my blog yesterday did you see? I hope you don't mind)
Gorgeous light coming through the trees and as Jana says, a magical feel - beautiful, Pat!
Amazing how you deal with lights and darks. This is a very challenging painting since you can easily overwork it but you have a flair for these kind of subjects and you have managed to paint a wonderful watercolour. Hugs
Hey Pat, that's just what it looked like when I walked yesterday morning! And then it rained all afternoon. Beautifully captured!
