Interior

This is an interior that I spent some time on today. This way of drawing is very time consuming and explorative. This is a wonderful way of passing time. When I start to draw the cares of the world dissolve and a Zen calm washes over me and I become absent from the everyday woes. I call it my mind vacation. I hope I get a chance to work on this in the future because there is still a lot of work to do.

Your description perfectly sums up why I paint or sculpt. I lose myself, including my woes, and let myself become the piece I'm creating. I'm discovering many kindred souls these days :)

Beautiful chair and interior. It looks so cozy and comfortable. I'm sure of that the mood may introduce you into the status of Zen.

Wonderful interior sketch. I like the details that you've caught. Your thoughts about tuning out the rest of the world really hit home to me. I find that happens to me when I'm sketching/painting.
