I walk through these trees during my morning walk. The street sweeper comes on Wednesday mornings after I have walked, but while I am walking the street is covered by these wonderful violet purple flowers. Everything has the same purple glow. I will be painting this sketch tomorrow. Today I am conducting the second and last day of the concrete leaf class so I couldn't take the time to paint it today.

These must be jacarandas with the purple flowers? I love your clean lines - look forward to seeing it painted too.

Enjoyed your blog. Someone on Facebook recommended it to me, and the Sketchersize site, too. I mentioned that I was getting bored with walking, alone, and thought I would rather draw. I'm glad to find others who take along their sketching things! I tried walking and drawing this morning, but decided I really need more hands as I walk with a cane! Thanks for the inspiration!
